We focus on building resilience, developing capacities and empowering refugees to help them integrate in Canada. We also assist refugees with achieving their educational, economic, and professional goals in their new country.

Who we are

The Canadian Centre for Victims of Armed Conflicts (CCVAC) is a Canadian non profit organization that offers a wide range of services, programs and initiatives, to improve the social conditions of the communities and families affected by armed conflicts.

Meet our team

Ayoub Cherkaoui is the executive director of the Canadian Centre for Victims of Armed Conflicts (CCVAC). Ayoub has more than ten years of experience working with refugees and survivors of armed conflicts. He holds a Master’s of Arts in Conflict Studies from Ottawa University.

Services we offer

CCVAC offers a wide variety of services to the refugee and newcomer community, such as:

  • Resettlement and orientation services
  • Counselling & referrals
  • Employment services (resume & interview preparation, employment workshops, effective job search)
  • Research & consultations
  • Assistance with creating small businesses and social enterprises
  • Children and youth programming
  • Community events
